If I had to do it all over again, I would never had fed my cat catfood. My cat died from intestinal cancer, and I know people whose cats died from tainted cat food. Organic meat and fish should be fine and it can be mixed with rice or vegetables.

I never fed my animals any commercial food product and both lived way past their life expectancy. Natalie1183 (see above) is on the right track.
Believe it or not, you can feed your animals on less money than you pay for commercial foods. Strike up a friendship with your local butcher is a good start.

Its funny that all the high-end brands I was buying have ingredients that come from the same factory in china as the cheap brands. Its actually not funny at all. We love these pets like our family and we are feeding them the wrong things because we don't know any better.

Money:
I wouldn't feed any animal Science Diet.
Go to www.animalwiseradio.com
They have links to homemade petfood recipes, and other topics. It's where I heard about what Science Diet puts in it as "meat."
Wellness is a good one. So is Solid Gold. There are other alternatives to the traditional brands.

Actually, you've got it exactly wrong. Having a pet in your house, including cats, actually decreases your sensitivities to allergens and asthma. Allergies and asthma run in my family and I have them from time to time, but now I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits and 1 ferret (the dogs and cats were shelter animals), I no longer have much of a problem with allergies (some spring and fall sneezing, nothing much), and I no longer have any asthma. We were brought up without pets and my brother had severe allergies and asthma, which I understand is common. So give the little beasties a hug today if you have them, and if you don't, stop at a shelter and pick up a bundle of pure love.

You said: "LETS ERADICATE ALL CATS." ETC.

A good shrink may help, are you taking your medication ?

There was a similar mentality during the middle ages. Cats at that time in Europe were considered to be 'witches familiars' and 'agents of the devil' and as such were often killed on sight and in ceremony during festivals were thrown off buildings and burnt alive.
Not so surprisingly there was a drastic drop in the cat population in Europe at that time. Perhaps surprisingly to the people of that time, along with a drop in the cat population came a huge increase in the rodent population. There are many who point to this increase in the rodent population as being the chief cause in the length and severity of the plague that ended up killing the majority of Europeans at that time.

My cat would look at me weird if I tried to give him any of that stuff. He's not interested in it. He really doesn't like milk much either - a few laps and done. What he does like is bacon, chicken, and beef. And of course, tuna is to die for. Mostly he gets Purina One and he's quite happy with that.

We have had Cat's on this planet for millions years, and you are just now telling us what not to feed them. They eat Mice; Birds; Humans; Bugs; Cardboard, and anything they can get in their mouth's. I do not think a little Chicken would hurt now, and then.
