Free Reggie!
On a serious note, this is what happens when people keep illegal pets. It's not good for any parties involved.

I live in L.A... grew up a couple of miles from the lake.. Have played golf on the course that surrounds the lake. After Reggie was discovered, but not yet found, there were signs on all the fiarways that ran near the lake, warning of him!
But this storty is more than a week old now... why is now just making Netscape?

I think it's terrible that that cop thought he could own wild animals as pets and raise them in a freaking swimming pool and then toss them in a lake, but I have to say that it turned out to be a pretty cute story...well considering the facts. Reggie could have caused a lot more trouble and have been in far more danger and at least he'll be taken care of now. Sadly if he hadn't been raised in a swimming pool around people his whole life, he might've been able to live in the wild. I wonder if they would be able to possibly help him transition back to it, or at least to a semi - wild habitat.

"NewsQuake!" was not a bad idea, but the execution leaves much to be desired. Editor James Marcus should ask himself if this is the best his paid staff can produce. Is this feature adding value to Netscape?
Where are the timely contributions about stories of compelling interest? Where are the insightful analyses? Is there anyone around here capable of finding their a-- with both hands?

I hope Reggie can be happy living back in captivity. Of course he's used to being around people, but he's also had a lot of freedom over the last couple years!
